Langen Motorcycles was stated in 2019 and was borne out of a passion to create motorcycles unlike anything else on the road. It was started by Chris Ratcliffe, formerly CCM's Chief Design Engineer.
The Wigan based company has been founded with the aim of producing motorcycles with a simplicity and purity of days gone by, like the 'Ton-up boys' and their café racers.
As its name suggests, Chris looks on their first creation, the Langen Two Stroke, as a final swansong for this method of internal combustion, with all the electric bikes currently being launched.
The bike will be handbuilt to an extremely high quality, with production of the first 100 individually numbered bikes set to begin in summer of 2022. A further 150 machines are planned for the following year and which can also be homologated for other markets. They have recently added a second model to their range, a retro modern performance machine called LightSpeed.
